As long as your gras is nor longer than 5 inches, this is a great product. For me it works great as secondary lawn mower, fro small lighter jobs. Quick and easy to handle, works great to trim grass and to keep it short.

After thoroughly researching manual lawn mowers and reading numerous reviews, I chose the Scotts 2000-20 push mower on amazon.com and now after 3 months of weekly summer mowing, I can say I love this lawn mower and have had no problems so far. For my small lawn about 50' X 30', it's the perfect choice, but it would be for larger lawns as well. It was easy to assemble, easy to handle, very sturdy but not too heavy, rolls in and out of the garage easily. I love the exercise. I am approaching 60 years old and it is not strenuous for me at all, but still a decent quick work out. When I'm done, I too wish I had more to cut! As others noted, it is not made to cut long grass, but purrs if you do more frequent mowings. The whirling blade sound when cutting has a nostalgic quality, reminding me of childhood. In early Spring the grass did get pretty high before I bought this, so I rented a power mower for the initial first cut and have been using my Scotts reel mower once a week ever since, just the right interval, takes me about 15 minutes max. Edging will need some manual attention. If you are the type after the ultra-manicured showpiece carpet of a lawn, maybe not this, but if you want a decent basic cut that looks just fine, I recommend this mower. I have an average to quite decent lawn and it looks great to me, in fact better than ever. I love saying goodbye to power-mower safety hazards, gas fumes, air and noise pollution! Good product and best value at amazon.
WORTHLESS IN FLORIDA

The good is that it was easy to assemble.
The bad news is that it is worthless on my Florida lawn.
It will not cut Bahia shoots and the St. Augustine grass is too thick for it.
I tried to call the #800 customer service line for suggestions at least six times but the line was always busy.
Cuts just ok, but tough to adjust

I bought one of these for a small sized lawn in coastal SC. My lawn has St Augustine grass and like many others with 2-star ratings for this item, I found the cut to be inconsistent and uneven. I mowed at least weekly and still had to go over sections several times and the cut usually remained uneven. However, I liked the quiet and the idea of no-gas mowing. I took the mower to an experienced sharpening service and they had a heck of a time with the mower. I did not know that the blades were supposed to free-wheel some when I cut and so had been working harder than I should have. The sharpening service could not get the mower adjusted properly even though they sharpen several of these types of mowers each month. They gave me back the mower and did not charge me. I have tried to adjust it myself - it works about as well as it did before I took it in, which is to say, not great. I think I am going to get an electric. I would rather hassle with a cord than deal with the mediocre cutting and tempermental adjustments.

easy assembly, have a small garden - very light for this type mower, low maintenance, helps environment - and you don't have to listen to the loud noise of regular gas mowers. Always ready to go...Perfect!
